Staffing Assistant jobs
American Pool is currently hiring seasonal office assistants. As a staffing assistant, your primary responsibilities will include general office work such as: data entry, data management and filing, assisting with making phone calls, conducting interviews, lifeguard orientation and scheduling. You must be detail oriented, have a flexible schedule, which includes working evenings and weekends and excellent time management, organizational and communications skills. Proficiency in Word, Excel and the Internet is required. A prior aquatics background is not required, but preferred.
Pool manager jobs
As an on-site pool manager, your primary responsibility is to supervise staff between two and 10 lifeguards while maintaining a safe swimming environment by enforcing all rules and regulations of the pool and surrounding area.
A pool manager is responsible for the supervision of the pool staff, assists with scheduling and confirmation along with chemical maintenance and record-keeping. This is a great opportunity for those that have held lifeguard jobs on Long Island to get management experience.
Safety Auditor jobs
As safety auditor, your primary responsibility is pool safety. You are responsible for conducting periodic unannounced on-site evaluations of lifeguards by monitoring and testing injury prevention, patron surveillance, rescue, breathing/cardiac emergency, and first aid skills. Additionally, you will remediate the lifeguard’s skills, if needed, and inspect the pool area for all appropriate safety equipment.
