Lifeguard Appreciation Week 2019
WE APPRECIATE OUR GUARDS! Our lifeguards work hard all season and deserve to be celebrated. Long hours spent under the sun patrolling the pool calls for much needed recognition. Every year at American Pool, we host Lifeguard Appreciation Week in celebration of YOU, our lifeguards. This year the celebrations will begin on July 21 and continue through July 28. We can’t wait to show you how much you mean to us!
During Lifeguard Appreciation Week, our offices host events like pizza parties, ice cream socials, and movie nights. In addition to the special events that each office hosts, we also have raffles and awesome giveaway prizes! This is our way of saying THANK YOU for your hard work.
In preparation for the festivities, we held a t-shirt design contest where guards created and submitted design ideas for this year’s official Lifeguard Appreciation Week t-shirt! We received so many amazing designs, and we are proud to announce that the winner of the contest is Zoey C. from our Houston office! We loved Zoey’s cool shark design so much that we wanted to learn a little more about her.

What is your name and how old are you?
My name is Zoey and im 15 yrs old.
What office do you work for and how long have you been working with Guard for Life?
I work for the Houston location and this is my first year.
What is your favorite part about lifeguarding?
My favorite part about lifeguarding is that I get to meet new people.
What are some of the things you like to do in your free time?
In my free time I like to sketch and hang out with friends.
Have you always been into art?
I’ve always been into art because of my dad and always getting to put your own design to anything along with expressing yourself.
What are your plans for the future outside of lifeguarding? Where do you see yourself in five – ten years?
I see myself in five to ten years a nurse working in the neonatal unit with the babies!
